More than 41.17 million cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed worldwide, and almost 1.13 million people have died due to the infection since the pandemic broke out, according to Johns Hopkins University. Amid the growing numbers of infections, nations across the world are preparing for a second wave, reintroducing quarantine measures.

The United States remains the most affected country with 8.3 million coronavirus cases and a death toll in excess of 222,000.
