According to Johns Hopkins University, the coronavirus pandemic has already claimed over 938,000 lives worldwide; at least 31 million people have been diagnosed with the disease. A wave of new outbreaks in Europe and other parts of the world have caused many countries to re-impose strict quarantine measures to curb the spread of the virus.






The US tops the list of the most-affected countries, with 6.8 mln infected and around 200,000 deceased, followed by India with 5.48 mln cases and over 87,000 dead. Brazil places third with 4.5 mln infected and the death toll reaching around 136,900
