#SexCrimes : Former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar to plead guilty to federal child porn and sex abuses charges

Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics doctor who is accused of sexually abusing more than 100 of his female patients, agreed to plead guilty to federal child pornography charges, multiple outlets reported on Monday.

Nassar is expected to formally accept the plea deal on Tuesday morning during a hearing in federal court in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The agreement relates only to the federal child pornography charges filed in December against Nassar. The 53-year-old has agreed to plead guilty to receiving child pornography, possession of child pornography and charges relating to his attempt to destroy and conceal evidence in the case.

In accordance to the terms of the plea deal, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Michigan agreed against prosecuting Nassar for the charge of sexually exploiting children, including those he allegedly molested at his home, in his swimming pool and, the agreement states, during "interstate/international travel."

The plea deal is not sitting well with those who allege Nassar abused them, including Jeanette Antolin. She was initially treated for a back issue and allegedly was abused by the former Michigan State University doctor two decades ago when she was 15.

"It's frustrating to know that justice for me is not going to happen, or for any of the other girls," the now-35-year-old Antolin told the Detroit News.

"We were hurt and our government doesn't want to put in the work to get him prosecuted. ... I feel like I gave up so much of my childhood to represent my country. This is a time I should be stood up for and people like Larry Nassar should be held accountable."

A federal grand jury determined that Nassar possessed thousands of images of child pornography on his computer. The grand jury also found that Nassar used a third-party vendor to permanently delete his laptop hard drive after he came under investigation.
