#Texas_Crime : Dallas woman accused of killing Kansas mom, taking baby had prior kidnapping arrest.

Sesmas told Portillo she needed $10,000 and that two people she was working with were going to demand the money from Portillo's husband.

The two women started fighting, and Portillo's older daughter was able to get her mother's cellphone and call 911. Portillo and the girls ran outside and got in their van until police arrived.

Portillo said Sesmas kept trying to get into the van and also choked her 10-year-old daughter.

Sesmas was charged with two counts of aggravated kidnapping, one count of kidnapping and two counts of aggravated battery. She was released from the Sedgwick County Jail the next day after posting $50,000 bond.

Sheriff Jeff Easter said Sesmas' bond was raised to $200,000 after she failed to appear at an August court hearing, the Eagle reported. Authorities determined that she had moved to Dallas, and they asked Dallas police to help them find her.
