Chicago Chronicle :3 hurt in separate shootings on Southeast, South sides

Two men and a girl were wounded in separate shootings Tuesday on the
Southeast and South sides, Chicago police said.

In the latest shooting, a 16-year-old girl was shot on the 7200 block of
South Union Avenue in the Englewood neighborhood. 

The shooting happened at 8:42 p.m. and left the girl with a gunshot wound to
her left foot. The girl was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where her condition
had stabilized.

A 23-year-old man was in the 9200 block of South Luella Avenue in the Calumet
Heights neighborhood, police said, when a beige or white vehicle drove up at
5:08 p.m.

Someone inside shot at the man, police said, striking him in the left arm and
left buttocks. He managed to get to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was in
good condition, police said.

Earlier, a 19-year-old man was shot Tuesday morning in the Englewood

The man told police he "heard shots and felt pain" about 9:50 a.m. while in
the 1500 block of West 73rd Place on the South Side.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a wound to
his buttocks. He was in good condition, police said.

No one is in custody, and area detectives are investigating.
