#Chicago_Chronicles : At least eight wounded in Chicago shootings

At least eight people, including a 15-year-old boy, have been wounded in shootings in Chicago since midmorning Tuesday, authorities said.
The most recent shooting left a man wounded in the 2200 block of West Pershing Road about 10:30 p.m. He was shot in the hand and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. It's not clear how he was shot.

Three men were wounded in the East Garfield Park neighborhood about 8:20 p.m. A 38-year-old man was shot in the leg, another 38-year-old man shot in the hand and a 32-year-old man shot in the chest. Paramedics took the younger man to Mount Sinai Hospital in critlcal condition and the other two men were taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said. They were outside when someone on foot shot them.

The 15-year-old boy was in the 6900 block of South Western Avenue in the Lithuanian Plaza neighborhood about 3:45 p.m. when he was shot in the lower calf, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago police spokesman. Someone came up to the boy and fired shots. He was in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Sweeney said.

In an attack in the Princeton Park neighborhood about 5:30 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the hip in the 9400 block of South Harvard Avenue, Sweeney said. The man was walking in the area when someone came up and fired shots at him. Information on his condition and hospitalization were not immediately available, Sweeney said.

About 4 p.m. in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, a 24-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the arm in the 2900 block of West Warren Boulevard, Sweeney said. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment, but police did not have confirmed information about his condition. The man was not cooperating with police, and no information on what happened was immediately available.

Earlier, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the West Garfield Park neighborhood. Somone shot the boy in the stomach about 10:10 a.m. in the 4400 block of West Monroe Street, Sweeney said. He was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to police. The boy was walking when a dark sedan pulled up and someone got out and fired shots at him.
